Braided harness protection for mobile plant in a surface mining operation

Application
Braided abrasion protection applied to wire harnesses on heavy mobile plant operating in a surface mining environment. Assemblies were subject to continuous vibration, rock dust and hydraulic fluid exposure during normal operation.
How braiding supported it
Designed to extend cable assembly service life and reduce unplanned maintenance intervals caused by harness jacket degradation.

Overflow braiding capacity for a harness manufacturer with a large contract requirement

Application
A harness manufacturer required additional braiding throughput to fulfil a large volume order within the contracted delivery schedule. Internal machine capacity was insufficient to meet the deadline without extending lead times.

Harnesses were braided to the manufacturer’s specification, including trace colours to each cable loom for ease of installation and maintenance, and returned for final assembly, supporting the production schedule without capital investment in additional equipment.

Abrasion-resistant braiding for high-movement harnesses on construction plant

Application
Harnesses routed through articulation joints and boom assemblies on construction plant were experiencing recurring jacket wear, exposing conductors to concrete dust, site water and mechanical damage between service intervals.
How braiding supported it
Abrasion-resistant braid applied over the affected assemblies to absorb mechanical wear at routing pressure points, designed to reduce the frequency of field repairs and harness replacements.
